Five Things to Know About the 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure
Toyota’s popular RAV4 pumps weight and gets buff in the new 2018 Adventure model. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the RAV4 Adventure model’s available front-wheel drive with an Automatic Limited Slip Differential or with Dynamic Torque Control all-wheel drive – both of which provide sure-footed traction over muddy, sandy, snowy, and rocky surfaces. These traction enhancements are also great for those living in icy climes.
If you’re towing Jet Skis, small boats, recreational vehicles, and other toys, the 2018 RAV4 Adventure comes standard with a Tow Prep Package that includes upgraded radiator and engine oil and transmission fluid coolers (necessary to cool the engine when hauling heavier loads), as well as a higher ride-height suspension. All RAV4s, including the Adventure grade, receive standard Trailer Sway Control and Hill-Start Assist (which prevents roll-back on hills).
Toyota Safety Sense – a suite of exceptional state-of-the-art safety equipment – comes standard. This active safety technology includes: Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert, Auto High Beams, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
Exterior design elements match the Toyota RAV4 Adventure’s performance and brawn. Large fenders are flared over 18″ five-spoke black alloy wheels, the vehicle’s lower body gets cladding to guard against mud and rock splatter, headlight bezels are blackened, and Adventure badging is prominent.
Inside, sporty flashes are everywhere. There’s a leather-wrapped shift knob, Adventure door sill protectors, all-weather floor and cargo mats, 120/100W power outlet in cargo area, and optional heated/power front-row seats, heated steering wheel and wiper-de-icer when purchasing the new Cold Weather Package.
