Tara Weingarten is an internationally recognized automotive journalist. Having written Newsweek’s Road Test column for more than a decade, she has a thorough understanding of all things on wheels. While at Newsweek, Tara’s weekly automotive review took a candid look at new cars and SUVs, and was counted among the magazine’s most popular features. Road Test received a large share of Newsweek’s readership comments each week, making it one of the most interactive segments at the newsweekly.

Tara is an automotive enthusiast and is a graduate of several high-performance and racing schools, including: the Porsche Sport Driving School’s Master Class, BMW’s M Performance Driving School Advanced Course, Ferrari’s Driving School in Tremblant, Canada, Maserati’s Advanced Driving School in Parma, Italy, and the Advanced Racing Course at Jim Russell Racing Driver’s School in Sonoma, Ca.

Tara also has contributed automotive, travel, food, wine and feature stories to numerous publications, including The New York Times, Time, Fortune Small Business, Robb Report, Los Angeles Times, Esquire, Worth and The Wine Spectator.

MARJORY HAWKINS, CO-FOUNDER | PUBLISHER


Marjory Hawkins is a 25-year veteran of promoting, branding and marketing luxury destinations and services. Prior to opening her own agency in 1990, Marjory worked with The Bohle Company and Rogers & Cowan in Los Angeles, promoting such brands as Epson USA, Purina, and Motor Trend. Hawkins PR represented luxury destination and services, such as Jim Russell Racing Drivers School, Sea Island Resorts, Shutters on the Beach, Hotel Casa del Mar, Royal Palms Resort & Spa, Red Mountain Spa, Lake Austin Spa and others.

Marjory has owned 14 vehicles in her lifetime, starting with a 1948 milktruck, which her father bought for her 16th birthday. Currently, she is looking for a new car, having just sold her ’82 Fiat Pininfarina.
